to the OP:
x2 on Marquette as well as Munising... take a boat tour to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. If you have time there's a ferry to Grand Island National Recreation Area.
If you're feeling extra adventurous, check out Isle Royale National Park. 165 miles of trails and 36 campgrounds, accessible by foot or boat, pack it in, pack it out - no pesky RV's. I think it's safe to say, it's the most isolated NP in the lower 48.
Why are RV's considered pesky? That's how all of us roll.
I think that's a quote from the NPS website :) Also banned are radios which can receive commercial broadcasts.
