Tucson, Az.

Any suggestions on full hook-up campgrounds in S. Tucson to Vail, Az. areas. We have KOA, Good Sam, FMCA and Passport America. We will be visiting folks in Vail. Will be traveling in a smaller Class C with no Toad. Thanks, Lars
  • You might look at Cactus Country RV Resort. It's right off of I-10 at the Houghton Rd. exit. That's not very far from Vail.
We've stayed here a couple of times and it's a pretty nice park. The entry road is a bit narrow but unless you have to pass another RV coming out you should not have a problem.
  • Depends, what are you looking for? A place to just stop for a day, with attractions, near attractions, close to restaurants, other SW tourist stuff? You have Tucson one way, Benson the other, both with huge options and different offerings.
  • Lars,

The Pima County Fairgrounds is close by and has a number of full hook-up sites at an affordable price. https://www.the-rvpark.com/

Have had friends and family stay there in the past and they enjoyed it.

Hope this helps and enjoy your stay in Tucson!

    John
  • Thanks to All for the input-have traveled through the area but never stayed for any period of time. Daughter and family bought home/property in Vail.
