Tuolumne Meadows Campground, Yosomite experience?

We are planing our summer trip out west (from Tennessee) to include Yosomite NP. This is for 2017. We are staying inside the park at Upper Pines then Tuolumine Meadows. If we can get reservations. Here is the part I could use some help on. In Tuolmne there are no dumps and no fresh water for filling a RV. Also no showers. There will be six of us camping together so my holding tanks will not make the five nights. Does anyone know the closest dump, fill water and show location. We have searched online but info is sketchy. Any help is appreciated.
  • If there are faucets in the campground and you can get a site fairly close, you can run a hose to fill your water tank. You may need a "water thief" if the faucets are not threaded to screw your hose end on.
  • I suggest Crane Flats CG. Its much closer to the famous valley but still atop the mountains so it stays cool. Very nice 'Woodsy' atmosphere. It is, or was, 1st come 1st serve. Good roads and sites for big rigs. Centrally located water and real toilets but no showers. About 3 miles down the road is a gas station and store. I seem to remember they had pay showers. We camped there for 10 days in a 34' Class'A' with TOAD.
  • My preference was Bridalveil CG. Good elevation for cooler temps, and only 15 minutes from Glacier Point, my favorite spot in the park. Bridalveil had a water spigot by the bathroom. I spent 5 nights there. During the weekday, sites were available usually until 2:00-3:00 pm.
  • Actually getting a reserved spot, especially for five days, should be more of a concern than if you will fit. Get up early before the reservtion window opens, have many devices pre-loaded with options to choose from on the reservation web site and cross your fingers along with thousands of others around the world as the spaces all fill in seconds. Good luck and I hope you are successful! :)

We'll be in upper pines next week.
