The OTA guides say a lot of things about reception in these remote areas.. Don't trust them.
In Quartzsite it depends on where you're camped and what antenna you are using. If you are North of town in any of the BLM areas you likely won't see anything with a Batwing, and certainly not with a Jack, especially from Phoenix. The mountains obscure reception to the East... I've tried..
To the south there are a very few stations that can be seen in the North areas of Q from Yuma, none in English as I remember from last year, but things often change in the LP and translator world.
If you look around IN Quartzsite, there are OTA antennas all over the place. Since we never camp in town, nor anywhere south of there, I don't know if reception is from Yuma, Phx, or Blythe or the quality of reception.
