Aldi had chicken drumsticks on sale for US$0.69/lb last week. :B
We do it all the time.
When it comes to bringing produce or meats back, if they're packaged from the US grocery store or outlet, you're usually good to go, within the quantity limits.
I think they're more concerned about produce that hasn't been FDA/USDA inspected, like stuff from roadside stands, or direct from the farm stuff. Or hunting game/fishing catch.
