UPPER PINE CAMPGROUND, YOSEMETE

We had a 34 ft fiver and managed the roads but it was slow and very careful maneuvering around the narrow roads, boulders and big trees. Backing into the site took something like an hour, or so it seemed when we got to it. That's why I suggested those sites near the entrance if you can get one. The 100 series of sites. Look at the map.

You're not wrong at all. They have sites that will accommodate 35 foot rigs. The problem is maneuvering a 35 ft travel trailer into the site which may or may not work for us. As I also mentioned, they can turn you away at the gate if your rig is too long. If you have a 35 ft motor home you're fine.

OK and I have parked my 26' fifth wheel in a maybe 22ish rated space. Yes it was very tight and difficult to get it turned and into the site. Rear of trailer had to overhang the tire stops and I had to park the truck sideways. Technically I fit and had no issues with the ranger. You takes your chances.

UPDATE: I was going to book a site and got big warning when I added the site to the cart. The site will accommodate a 35 ft motor home but is limited to a 24 ft trailer. They said maneuverability in the campground is the biggest issue. A friend who has stayed there said they will measure you and turn you away if your trailer is over 24 ft.

Being a 8 hour tow, I decided to pass!

Seems the member that posted above is correct; the issue is maneuverability through the campground.

Upper Pines and Lower Pines are not a problem for getting around the roads. Just make sure that you reserve a campsite that you can back into. Have fun.

Rated for a 35' trailer you should have no issues. Rated for a 35' motorhome could present some difficulty. Otherwise if you fit you can stay.

No Yosemite CG have any services. The roads in that cg are very narrow, twisty and there are boulders and big trees right off the road. Try to get the site at the entrance of the park. It is possible to get deeper in the cg but it's no fun.
