US Wi-Fi Hot Spot.

Often people post replies to these questions but leave out some of the charges. That Verizon tethering plan must require you to have a Verizon minutes plan. Then you have to add in all the other charges: network, 911,etc. For pure data no one can beat Millenium ( the Verizon plan).

Tigers Crew, you don't have to pay anything to use WiFi on most of the camps and places along the road like McDonalds, Starbucks etc. All you need is a functional laptop or a smartphone :)

I've been happy with the Virgin air card. No problem along the freeway, campgrounds in Arizona and Florida. One place I didn't have coverage was Wisconsin.

Its $40 a month for unlimited, pay only for the month you want to use it (no contract). It can be picked up at Wal-mart and Radio Shack.

Ever winter I get the Verizon tethering plan ( cord from cell phone to computer) there is no contract and you get 4 G B s for $50 a month then 10 dollar,s for a G B that you go over, I have never went over , its as fast as my computer is at home, you get online very easy,

I need more not less. I tried online and their website stalled when I clicked 'details of plans' - both FF and IE.

We are on a 7 week trip all over the western USA. There has only been one day that we were unable to get on the internet with our Verizon card. We have been in some very remote areas too.

Verizon MIFI works great all over the country...
