A lot depends on your specific rig. I have furnace on night before as its packed with food and can goods that may freeze. Depending on outside temp, I turn furnace off as residual heat will be good for next 4-6 hours or if real cold like 20's then I just leave furnace on at 50. Makes it nicer when stopping for lunch.
