We are going to Utah the last 2 weeks in april. We are going to go to Monument valley, Capital Reef, and Moab, Canyonlands and Arches.
Not sure of your timeframe - will you have a full two weeks for visiting these parks or does that include travel from home?
If you have two weeks, this is how I would break it up:
Monument Valley - 2 nights at either Gouldings if you want full hookups or if you want a dry camping spot right in front of the famous 'Mittens', I believe the park has now opened that new area. If you have a 4x4, you can easily drive the loop yourself. There are some rough spots but you'll just be going slow.
Capitol Reef - if you want to hike and 4x4 then 3-4 nights would be good. The park's campground is very pretty.
Moab/Canyonlands/Arches - can all be easily done from one spot with your remaining days. We enjoy Dead Horse Point State Park and we've also stayed at dry camp sites at Ken's Lake.
I'm not sure you'll be able to have your campfire and any of the spots.
