Va i77 campground

KOA statesville is very easy on/off. Exit 45 just S of I40 intersection. Nothing great. Fine for overnight.

Check out Ft McAllister a few miles south of Savannah. Still convenient enough to run into town for the day. They are often over looked and should still have a bunch of sites available.

Usually avoid them, but the KOA Statesville just south of I40 would be nice for a simple stop.

X2 on Ft. Chiswell. Nice people, nearby truck stops for food and fuel, quiet good nights sleep, ez in and out. Ideal overnight spot.

Also in Hardeeville,SC there are two campgrounds...and the ride to the Riverfront in Savannah is less than 15 minutes...Cape Lake Jasper and Hardeeville RV-Thomas...Chuck

I would have loved to but it's booked. Waiting on red gate campground to get back with me.

Check out Skidaway Island State Park I have not been there but plan on going. It is close to Savannah. Google the name and select images. Looks nice.
