Also my 2 cents ......Why do I want to pay a $15 or more extra fee for a weekend for my two dogs at a State Park when I can go to a near by private campground with full hook ups, cleaner, larger sites, wider roads, up to date facilities......... for $20 less. Now the price is closer to being the same........
The cost increase at the State Parks probably would have gone up anyway with or with out the dog fee. I have heard that the dog fee was only collected at some parks. It was kind of a don't ask don't tell...... as some of the managers were not for it.
