VA State Parks dog fee

We love VA state parks for the camping and other activities we enjoy - hiking and mountain bike riding. You can't get that at a private park without getting in your car and driving. Since we are now camping with three dogs, I am happy they got rid of the dog fee. We walk our dogs on leash and pick up after them. They are never outside alone and when inside the camper are quiet. We will continue to use the state park campgrounds...something missing in all this discussion is the fact that they are going to allow site specific reservations on a trial basis at several campgrounds. This is something we have been waiting for...there are several parks that are move than two hours away from us that we have been avoiding on weekends because we don't want to get there late Friday and end up with a less than desirable site for the weekend. I want to thank the VA state park administration for being open to trying new things.
