Valley of Fire Area

We will be traveling through Las Vegas near the end of June and want to see Valley of Fire. We will devote two nights and one complete day to it.

Does anyone have recommendations for rv spots? Due to expected heat we don't want to stray off into the boondocks, but have power for the ac. So---I think we want a private park. I think the state park has nice campgrounds, but first come first served makes me think we can't depend on getting a site. But---near the end of June?

All suggestions and comments will be appreciated. Thanks.

  • I've been there a number of times, and always stay in the park.

There are two campgrounds at the Valley of Fire. Atlatl campground has some sites with water & electric, bathrooms with showers. Near by Arch Rock campground has dry sites & vault toilets.

The sites with hookups go fast - get there early since everything is first come.
    Some photos of the park.
