Very dissapointed in Raccoon Mtn. Campground, Chattanooga!

I made a reservation about 2 months in advance of our trip this past weekend. When we got to the campground, they had us on lot 89. "It's one of the new spots and a good lot", says the guy at the desk...

Got friends who lived there for over 6 months back in the 90's. They liked it. I've stayed there overnight a few times when passing thru Chatt. For Riverbend Festival, I stay in Chester Frost County Park and do a little fishing off the dock over on Dallas Island. I guess a great deal has to do with your expectations. Pehaps the OP should have stayed at Pirate's. They are the camping world over at the state line and when it rains, the whole area there floods several feet. Now THAT'S a puddle!
