We have stayed all over Florida for just over 30 years. The past several years we have stayed at numerous places between Venice and Fort Myers.
Fort Myers Beach is a town next to Fort Myers. We are just ending a 4 month stay here now at Gulf Waters Resort. Indian Creek RV is about a half mile away and Siesta Bay is next to it (owned by same parent company). There are even sites available for RVs which are under 36' at Palmetto Palms, which is next to Siesta Bay. There are several other RV resorts in this immediate area so you can't go wrong. You will find prices from $800 a month to over $1400. Most want a 3 or 4 month minimum stay.
This is a great area if you want to be within 2 miles or so of Fort Myers beach and Sanibel Island!
