I do find it interesting that some feel $15.00 for an entire week will break their camping budget and alter there destination. I do understand for some it's the principle of the matter. Nevertheless I can't see myself avoiding a CG I prefer in a location I also prefer over the $15.00 max. dog fee.
I have reservations at First Landing this summer. There are a few CG's in the area. First Landing is still the cheapest even with the dog fee
If you are paying attention all CG's public and private are changing their rates to increase revenue. Many campgrounds have set the family limit at 4 campers. Above 4 you pay extra per night.
In the end a la carte pricing is the best way to pass cost on to those who require/use more services vs. simply raising the rates for everyone.
