VZ Cell Service at Kalaloch/South Beach?

Wondering what the latest info is on VZ signal strength at South Beach Campground on the Olympic Coast. Is there any signal at all? Will an antenna or amplifier help?

Thanks!
  • If I remember correctly from a few weeks ago at Kalaloch, Verizon worked O.K.

T-Mobile was hit and miss, sometimes would work, then other times it was dead.

South Beach is only two and a half miles from Queets, so it should have an even better signal than Kalaloch. Kalaloch is three miles north of South Beach.

    About 100 miles close.
  • That's a very remote place. I wouldn't expect service. Do you really need it? Also, you're close to the Canadian border so if you get it, check your bill.
  • Verizon coverage map shows it 'may' be ok. Last time there for me was around 2010, and att was pretty good, no verizon.

I remember having to get there on a Monday morning to get a spot at all. Very popular place.

I did a search on GOOGLE SEARCH with your post title 'VZ Cell Service at Kalaloch/South Beach' and it says 2-4 bars for Verizon and 1 bar for AT&T...

This was from 6-7 reviews for 2015 and 2016...

Never been to that area myself... Sacramental on the West Coast side and Montana Flathead Lake on the NW side of the state...

Verizon was the only reliable service along the US/Canada border when we was working the RADAR SITES along the top of the US in the mid 60s...
