Been here in Newport,Oregon and have noticed just how many people camp at the Walmart!! Signs all over saying..."No Overnight Parking"
I see the same motorhomes/trailers and 5th wheels sitting there for 2-5 days with their slides out....patio rugs out and looks like they are planning on staying for a long time. Even went by there yesterday and guy had his slide out on his 5ver...unhooked like the others and he was washing it!!
Just a rant!
1.How do you know how long they have been there? Are you keeping an entry/departure log?
2. No disrespect meant but why does it bother you? Ugly views? Property values dropping?
There are people all over this world that ignore signs and do what they choose.
It's WalMart property and Wal-Mart's problem.
Rant at WalMart for allowing it and tell them you will be shopping somewhere else.
When it affects their sales, believe me, they will do something.
Yes....I see them everyday!! Not bothering me that much except when you go into the lot to park and you have to keep swinging around everybody that's camping. Too me....seems like when you have a very expensive RV....why stay in a parking lot for days on end!
Yes Sir, we can agree on that. Personally I would complain loudly to WalMart both locally and at the corporate level.
Would make sure they know it is reducing sales as you and many other locals will choose to shop elsewhere because of inconvenient parking.
WalMart truly only cares about one thing: Sales. Affect sales and they will take action. You can count on it.
On a personal note, I have never stayed in a WalMart parking lot. If it were an emergency, maybe, but only then. When I see it, I can only think of the book "G****s Of Wrath," by John Steinbeck. I know it should not but it does.
Happy Camping. (In a campground)
