Lake Louisa State Park is great. They have some full hook up sites too. A much more economical way to stay in the Orlando area.

County ordinance prohibits overnite or long term day parking in all locations like WM , CB , HD , shopping centers , or business properties .

Lake Louisa Park is the best answer close by .

I would ask the folks at fortfiends.net. They know everything there is to know about fort wilderness and the surrounding area. I'm sure they could give you some good leads. That said, we spent the night at pecan park rv resort in Jacksonville fl the night before we checked into disney.

An alternative is to get a hotel. I did that for $0/night (points from business travel) last year so that I didn't have to try and navigate the Thousand Trails Orlando Preserve in the dark.

I'm at Downtown Disney all the time, and I've never seen an RV parked there. Plus, you're correct about the construction. A large portion of the parking lot is now gone (in front of the movie theater and Disney Quest).

We usually stop at Lake Lousia State Park less than $20 for a safe nights sleep
