Weather in Yellowstone NP in Late September

We go the third week of Sept almost every year. Usually the weather is great- 30s at night and 60 or 70 during the day. But things can change drastically so be prepared for worse weather. Have appropriate clothing and have your propane tanks full. Stay informed about the local weather and pay attention to what you see developing. We have definitely seen snow that time of year.
