Weather Roulette

For those who did not come back to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and decided to winter in Florida or Arizona this year........... it looks like you made a not so great decision. After a few sub par winters in the RGV, this winter is turning out to be great.
  • We've been seeing 80's here in central FL since we got here a few days ago, and had high 70's and 80's in southern FL last week. We did have two days of rain though. We've had dinner the last couple of nights out on our site patio overlooking the pond next to us. It's 82 right now as well, so we're not complaining about the weather...
  • It's chilly in AZ this week but next week will get to 80!

No state is perfect. You can't count on the weather consistently.

We've always wintered where we enjoy doing our kinds of things and Arizona was the best for us. We enjoy the gorgeous open vistas, mountains, lakes (yes..in Arizona), the awesome hiking and the beauty and quietness of the desert along with its neat critters.

Even in the greater Phoenix or Tucson areas you can always find gorgeous solitude by a short drive.
  • I'm heading there next week. I'm sure the weather will go to heck right about the time I get there. But don't worry, I'm sure it will get back to normal after my 10 day stay.

  • Yes, here in Rockport, TX also! The sun and warmer temperatures have ruled this TX Winter! The occasional cold front will come through and the temps go right back up! Less crowded and half the price of Florida! We wintered there for 10 years before finding the south-TX coast.
