OP- you are trying to equate money with manners and class, Mistake. There are $100+ a night Party and Play people too.
I would lighten up on the "great unwashed" rhetoric. There are plenty of nice people in campgrounds who can't, for whatever reason, afford to pay high prices to be with the "washed".
Go where you like, stay aware, be a little tolerant and remember, you used to go to the same campground as the people you don't want to be with.
