The whole family would love Mac Wood's Dune Rides at Silver Lake Mi. We've stopped camping in Michigan state parks due to their double dip approach to daily entrance fees. We have motor home and toad even though the MH never moves from site you pay daily fee for both toad and MH. Mill Creek campground at Mackinaw City is a favorite for us. We have stayed at both Wilderness and Petoskey. Both excellent. Most state parks have only electric. Water available to fill your tanks. We love Sleeping Bear. There is a canoe run right outside the park. Lovely drives in the federal park. Fee charged daily unless you have purchased a yearly pass. Up by Mack City a winiding beautiful drive from Petosky to Cross Village. At Cross Village a great restaurant Leggs Inn if you can just stop in to see the inside of building. harbor Springs is a very neat little town. We love camping in Western Michigan but then we are just 9 miles from the border. They have many nice private campgrounds also.
