- Water-BugExplorerHawks Nest SP. fantastic views, 5 hiking trails
- EycomExplorerDepends on your desires. For white water rafting, look around the New River on US 19. There are outfitters around the Fayetteville, WV area that can provide a trip down the river and recommend camping and horseback riding.
WV has some beautiful SPs. On the west side of the State, Coopers Rock, just east of Morgantown is a nice little SP with some beautiful vistas of the gorge. Good park for a couple of days. Pipestem Resort in SW part of the state is a great place for a week or two of relaxation. Canaan Valley is popular in the eastern part of the state. Perhaps some of the locals can offer a lot more info.
One thing's for sure. WV is one of the prettiest States I've visited while camping. I really go for the ambiance of nature and WV offers plenty of that.
edited spelling - DonConExplorerExcited to hear the replies. We are hoping to go there this fall. Would definitely like the western side of the state. Coming from Cincinnati, OH and would like no more than a 5 hour drive.
