I guess it depends on what you like to do -- if you don't like hiking, there is not a whole lot to do in the Tetons, except fish and relax and enjoy the views from a distance. If you hike, you can get inside the views, like this:

There are many excellent day hikes on both sides of the Tetons. I have heard that the backpacking is great, but we don't backpack. Personally, I found the craggy Tetons to be much more dramatic than the rolling mountains of Yellowstone. When (not if) we go back, we will spend time in both parks.
