Hands down, the Anza Borrego Desert State Park in CA. Most other CA State Parks are now way over priced and overrun.The State is trying without success to balance the budget on the backs of out-of-state travelers, be it via airport taxes or state run services or entities.
They closed or curtailed many minor State run Parks due to budget constraints but now are going to raise taxes once more on cars. There was an out-of-control era of CA State Park acquisition which finally became unsustainable. Many other states have wonderfully operated State Parks.

They already did raise the taxes on New Vehicle License Fee's. Feel the pain. I would rather stay at a BLM Campground but they are becoming few and far between also.
