I am in the process of seeing all the Minnesota state parks. I can say I have a lot that are my favorite and a few that don't offer what I am looking for. Lots of walking trails and second a chance to canoe. It's also seasonal preference. Middle of winter Saint Croix state park.
Bear Head Lake in Ely Minnesota is a favorite off season when fewer people are around. Mystery Cave is a favorite of my grandkids.
