I guess in my mind RVing and camping are similar but two different things or mind sets.
We camped as a kid, tents or popups, no electric or water on site and bathroom was a hole in the ground.
Today I RV. I take my portable house with me to spend some time with family or friends. I enjoy my full hookups, a shared meal cooked over my campfire and I normally leave my phone inside the RV. We have a TV and a laptop in the RV to stay connected. The Kindle has replaced the paperback many read by the fire. Due to health concerns and the "I'm getting too for this crap" I like my comforts of home, just in different locations.
Look at it this way. Unless I wanted to stay in my "RV park" you'd have a neighbor out in the woods.
Feel free to camp. I'm happy to RV in my "resort" with a pool, hot tub, pontoon boats, paddleboats and a playground for my grandchildren.
