When we go to state parks, in our old TC, those parks that used to stay full, now have lots of empty spaces. It just seems like people avoid them because they don't have FHU.
I avoid them because if I want to stay in a campground "with other people" I want hooks ups, otherwise why bother. We boondock 90% of the time. If the sun is shining we can live in our RV for up to 2 weeks with no hook ups or generator, thus no need for a campground which has fees and probably an annoying neighbor. I have almost every creature comfort from home because I may want it, not that I need it, and I can afford it.
Your way of camping is not for all. You not understanding those that have all the comforts of home is no different than the guy that says why do people bring a RV period vs sleeping in a tent or on the ground.
Honestly I get tired of the older generation complaining about the "younger" generation. My parents never said anything and I don't say anything to my kids. Things change with time and accepting it is much easier than dwelling on it.
