- doxiemom11Explorer IISend the plants to a family member/friend's house while you are gone. Most will need 60 or warmer to survive and will need to be watered.
- You_can_t_take_ExplorerI set mine at 10*C or about 50*F. Having said that, I have a freeze alarm that will notify my son if the temperature falls below 45*F and all my house plants are plastic. :B . I used to have real house plants but my kids weren't visiting the house often enough to keep them from death row!! :S
- The_TexanExplorerWe use 45° and have never had a problem with outside temps as low as -20°. We do a basic blowout and winterizing as a backup, but have never had the heat fail long enough to fall back on the winterizing.
