Years ago, there was an investigative article in the Allentown paper regarding the fact that the Turnpike commission was wasting 4X that amount, per mile, to operate their road, as compared to what Penn Dot spends to operate Interstate 80. Since then they have gotten worse and have significant yearly toll increases planned for as far out as they will project. Much like the PLCB, they seem to have enough politicians bought and paid for, that they have no limits to the greed and waste they wallow in.
