What to do between San Antonio and Carlsbad Caverns
I was thinking of visiting Carlsbad Caverns when heading west from San Antonio but the 7 hour drive is a bit long to handle in one shot. Do you know of any interesting stops between the two?

Stop in Kerrville, TX
Buckhorn Lake RV Resort is great. We stayed there 3 months. There is an Adult section in the Resort and beautiful motorhome sites.
Nice restaurants in Kerrville to choose from and an art museum, I think it was free. Drive over to Camp Verde just outside Kerrville for an awesome lunch and upscale shopping all in one building.
Drive over to Fredericksburg from Kerrville for a day trip. Have lunch, shop, see the museum in town.
