What to do between San Antonio and Carlsbad Caverns
I was thinking of visiting Carlsbad Caverns when heading west from San Antonio but the 7 hour drive is a bit long to handle in one shot. Do you know of any interesting stops between the two?

If your taking I10 we liked Las Cruces. Has an old town and good food.
I would also say see the Boneyard at Pima Air and Space Museum.
We liked Saguaro National Park. Both near Tucson.
