In 12 years:
~240 nights (average of 20 per year - it's probably actually more, but I don't keep track so am estimating)
~70% dry camping at SP or PP
~10% camping with electric at SP or PP (because the site we want has it, not because we want it)
~15% dry camping at NP or NF
~5% at private campgrounds with various levels of hookups (usually because relatives insist)
0% wallydocking or similar.
Even while traveling we will preferentially locate and stay at state parks for overnight stops, sometimes paying for 2 nights because they require it even though we only stay for 1. We've just found that we really don't like the typically small sites of private campgrounds, and don't care about or need hookups.
