Whats the truth? What % of nights spent where?

In over 300 nights camping over the last three years, we have spent:
5 nights in private campgrounds
30 nights boondocking or in rest areas (not much boondocking on the east coast
the rest in state/federal/coe

Both times we stayed at private parks we cut our visits short - it just wasn't for us.

We leave in January to fulltime and hope to spend at least 1/3 of our time boondocking.
