As a kid 45yrs ago the vast majority of RV's stayed in dedicated campgrounds most nights...so I don't think anything has really changed.
Interesting comment. We consider our FW luxurious and love the many conveniences for boondocking. We bathe frequently, eat well, read in comfort in a recliner. Stay in where it's warm when the weather is not, etc, etc, etc. Neighbors have told us when looking at our FW, "that's not camping!", but to us it is. We love boondocking, but also enjoy FS CG's.
So nothing wrong with camping in comfort. We agree.
