...I do find it very weird that the term "boondocking" is used by many referring to spending a night or two in a paved parking lot of a commercial establishment. My interpretation of "boondocking" always has been and always will be of camping off the beaten path somewhere out in the wilderness all by ourselves. :)

If you're in the west as I am, I think you're better off looking for the next stop up the road, or find a truck stop with a big overflow lot you can park in, so you don't get in the way of the pros. No, NOT the lot lizards, the drivers. The CB can be a great source of entertainment if you have a fairly twisted sense of humor. I was a newspaper photographer for 30 years, you figure it out. ;)
