From St Louis, MO we were planning on the Hatteras area and especially Assateague Island mid June. Unfortunately this hectic year of personal/family issues and health put us in no mind to contend with ferry schedules, over crowded campgrounds, reservation woes, traffic and in general, crowds. So our trip, with the same time table has been truncated. Cutting the distance in virtually half, but leaving the duration the same, giving us more relaxation/touring time. Take in some northern GA, WV, VA & OH and even the NDOG.
And then planning a UP trip in Sept. Even with responsibilities here at home we still manage to escape for a couple of weeks at a time.
