I'm already thinking we need to try to squeeze in a few more trips for the year, most likely they'll be local. Our vacation time is limited and we do have 2 non-camper trips for the year already. ...

We just completed a similar trip this past Oct/Nov. Left St. Louis to Pickwick Tailwater Campground for a night then down to Florala SP. Next was St. Andrews SP and then on to Destin FamCamp. Crossed Mobile Bay by ferry and on to Davis Bayou and then Buccaneer SP. Fontainebleau SP and Palmetto Island SP were pretty much it before heading home via the Natchez SP and the Trace. Palmetto Island SP was the best and second only to Davis Bayou.
But leaving the south and heading to Natchez on US 61 is Mammy's Cupboard. This is a must stop for a meal. Best homemade lunch in the area. I had the roast beef plate. Words can't describe it. Outta site!!!!
The Trace is a nice relaxing drive. Enjoy!
