My wife and I are new to RVing. We bought a Winnebago Trend 23B last spring, went to beaches and out on our Island, during the summer on practice runs.
This year we would like to take the plunge and travel to
at least 4 of the following:
1. Gettysburg, PA
2. Niagara Falls NY
3. TBD in Massachusetts (searching for good candidate places)
4. Mt Washington, New Hampshire
5. Venice, Florida
6. Hilton Head, SC
8. Blue Ridge Mountains, NC/TN
If you haven't done the "Pilgrim thing" yet, try the Mayflower II and Plimouth Plantation (I think it is spelled that way, "olde skool"). We stayed at Pinewood Lodge Campground in Plymouth, Mass. It was a few years ago (actually, closer to 10 years ago now that I think about it!), but we thought it was very good.
When we went to Niagara Falls, we stayed on the Canadian side at the KOA on Lundy's Lane. It was a fun trip, cool to go into "another country", see the falls, etc. Give yourself a few days - there is a LOT of tourist trap-like things to do at Niagara, especially on the Canadian side. I said it is kind of like a twisted Disney World! lol
