Where to camp in Keywest?

We are planning a trip down to the keys and would like recommendations on where to camp in the Keys along the way and Keywest also/ Any help would be appreciated. Traveling in a 40 ft MH and with tow. Thanks in advance

I'd stay at Jolly Roger again even without the PPA rate.
We stayed at quite a few places in the Keys and it was one of our favorites.

Bluewater Key RV is the best. They are all expensive, why not stay at the best.

Check ahead on any CG you choose. Most places in KW book waaaaay in advance. Especially this time of year. Snowbirds are flocking in and it will be jammed up til spring. it may be less of a question of where you want to stay and more of where you can even get a spot.
  • We jus spent two weeks at Bluewater Key. It is one of our favorite places to stay. Expensive? Only about $5 a night more than the KOA just north of it. It's only about a 15 minute drive into Key West.

The sites are huge compared to anything else I've seen in the Key West Area.

    Our site was 62.

X2 - stayed there last year under Passport America. New pool was very nice as was the waterfront area for sitting/snorkeling/fishing. Would like to go back sometime
  • This will be our 4th year at Jolly Roger, best buy in the lower keys for what is offered. Lots to do in Marathon and cheaper food than Key West.
  • I would suggest not staying in Key West but just a one day visit should do it...doesn't really warrant more than that.

Jolly Roger is a good choice and they usually have some openings and they are not right in town.

Avoid sunshine key rv resort as that is nothing more than a parking lot...BUT it would put you in great proximity to Bahia Honda state park as a day visitor with the best/only beaches on the keys. Sunshine does have a pool too...but they are overpriced. IMHO
