It's one thing to drop a trailer for a few hours, it's quite another to drop a trailer for one or two days.
If you are going to be in an area for a day or two, find a good camp ground. That's what we did on our cross country trip in 2014. The only time we weren't in a camp ground is when we stopped over night at a Walmart just to get some sleep. And then, we never unhooked.

as we travel to large urban areas we would like to drop our trailer and use our truck to tour the area.
does anyone have a list of secure places one can drop a trailer for a day or two?
