Where to go for kids spring break in 3 weeks

Looking for Rv camp ground/locations that are within 5 hours of Chicago. We were planning to go to Frenchlick Indiana and the Rv resort called today from a voice mail and email I sent in January stating they don't open till April 1 and they are already booked for the 4 days we wanted to visit. There will be 2 families and with a total of 3 kids going. Need fun stuff to do not just stay at Rv park. Thinking of Kentucky lake ? Branson Missouri is too far. We been to Wisconsin dells. Any other ideas?

    St Louis, MO, perhaps? Casino Queen (at least) is open, and maybe some of the other campgrounds in the area. There's plenty to see and do around the city: the zoo, the arch, the City Museum, ....

    But, you are correct in the fact that almost every campground in Indiana does not open up until April 1 or after. State Parks are open, but water is not turned on until April 1.
