For those of us who are fans of the Great American Songbook (and who isn't?), I think that the reference to Paris must have been to "April in Paris," a standard from the 30s.
And in April, I would strongly recommend southern and southeastern Utah -- Zion is not too hot, Bryce is usually not too cold, and Arches is just right. The only problem in the Moab area will be all of the spring break folks.
