Where to Winter-over near Tucson?

Ok, I grew up Snowbirding with my parents, HATED Florida, Did a couple nice winters in Tucson.
Now 30 years later my wife and I are becomming Fulltimers and I want to Winter in Az. probably around the Tucson area.

We are both Disabled Veterans but still young and can get around fine however, we are in our mi-d 30's and early 40's.

Here are My issues;
Would the 55 and over resort/campgrounds let us in?

Can anyone with some Az. experiance point us in the right direction for the winter (Dec.-Apr.).

Thanks, Gregg

  • Another great one is just South of Tucson, De Anza Rv Resort in Amado, http://deanzarvresort.com/. We have friends that stay there the entire winter and other friends that stay a short while as they travel further South into Mexico.

  • Just east of Tucson, out by Vail, is Cactus Country RV Park, a pretty nice park.
  • Palm Creek is a good one. Watch for deals that give newcomers a better rate. Last year it was 189/mo. You can use the discount deals every second year. In Tucson we like Voyager...lots of activities and amenities. Tucson area has lots more to do/see than Casa Grande but is a touch colder. Have fun....
  • Hello and thanks for your service
    Take a look at Palm Creek Golf and RV in Casa Grande AZ.
    Look at our web sight .
    We are a 55 and over park but we are required by state law and
    Fed law to have at least 10% under 55 . If you want more info.
    Send me a massage. We have been going there for 10 years. Hope to
    hear from you.
