As someone once said (not me) "The journey is the destination"
This statement is kinda hard for me to believe :
"And no, not Only Otr truck drivers. Many people can drive like that and be ok. If you can't, then you either have medical issues or no self discipline."
Again, depends on your goal - enjoy the wonders of things to be seen or wave at them as you go by. Or, hopefully except for the driver as we hope he / she is keeping their eye on the road, sleep as you go by.
Will they ever have the opportunity to make a trip like this again? Who knows? So, IMHO, one should capture all there is. But, if time is a factor and the destinations are the goal, hey, you have no other choice and I wish them well.
