Here it is our first winter of retirement and it's like this section has died. I was hoping to learn all kinds of things, is everybody gone to a different site/forum? There have been days at a time ...

Pleased to meet you too Ro_sie! I have lived my entire 60 years in Grand Rapids, hoping to retire from Machine Service in a year or so. Anabel is a native of El Salvador and is semi retired, but sells a line of beauty products and cuts hair. We have been together for just 2 years. We bought a house this past summer and sold mine, hers goes on the market in the spring. We bought an old 5er and truck last spring but didn't get to use it much yet. We are eyeing next Christmas in Houston with family, maybe January in S TX or MX. Our old Lab mix, Bandido, will be moving in with kids, grandkids.
We did have fun today, sleeping in, kicking back mostly. We had a few rare hours of winter sunshine today. I was supposed to be painting in the basement, but put together a pot of Chili while Anabel made Pupusas. The afternoon was spent entertaining grandbabies.
Hope you had some fun too.
