I agree $47.00 is not outrageous during peak season it's down right cheap in my area.

I'm with you and RinconVTR ... I prefer KOA then GS for many of the same reasons as you plus their locations and spacing are great to use as overnite "travel stops". No way public CGs compare with the pluses of a KOA or GS except in price unless you are looking for a destination CG.
It's amazing that folks traveling around in 50 to 100K worth of RV equip getting 5 to 10mpg of $3+/gal fuel traveling 200 to 500 miles complain over an extra $20/nite a few times a year , .... Oh Well each to their own.
