WiFi is not MAGIC, as many people who have never been without it do not understand. The range off a cell tower is less than 50 miles, and there is much of this country that does not have a single person, and there is no need for any cell tower because there is nothing there. And over-the-air internet is much slower than that transmitted by modern fiber-optic. If you really expect fast internet service, connect a LONG fiber optic cable to a local wired provider. What it amunts to is that in many areas, there is simply NO wireless service available, much less the high-bandwith faster service you seem to expect. There are still a lot of places that do not even have electricity at all.
