Don't worry, very little of what most visitors to the area see has burned.
Good lines on South and East sides of the fire now.
Evacuation orders for some residents have been eased and I suspect (hope) there will be further reductions later today.
According to GeoMAC imagery, active burning is down to less than 20% of what it was a couple days ago with most new fire activity moving West into the Sisters (not the town and still a long way from the popular areas). And there are lots of resources on scene now.
Even though I evacuated my rafts yesterday (you can tell my priorities in life) I still believe that, as long as the winds don't stir things up too much in the next couple days, this will soon be just a smoky memory.
However, my concern is the timing. Usually fire season in the NW doesn't get going here until late July or August but this is really early for a fire of this size. Could be an "interesting" summer especially as "camping season" is only just beginning.
Please be careful with fire out there.
